Description

Want to reach the epilogue but cant see past the prologue? Tired of reentering your password/biometric just to look up a single word? Use this app to illuminate or elucidate. Turn your phone into a timed nightlight, an always-on word reference or both.

Instructions:

Swipe left or right to switch between functions (word lookup, brightness setting, timer setting).

Swipe up or down to hide or show the functions (e.g., swipe down to hide most of the objects on the screen if you just want it to be a night light).

Uses by Day:

Use this app to look up words using your phones dictionaries (i.e., those dictionaries otherwise only accessible by typing a word in a text field, highlighting it, and then pressing define).

The phones screen will neither automatically dim from your current brightness setting nor automatically turn off while to app is being used, so you dont have to keep turning your phone back on (and entering your password or biometric) just to look up words (as you read or otherwise).

You can also quickly set a vibration-only countdown timer to let you know when your reading time is up. To inform you that your time is up the timer will vibrate, show you with a message, decrease the screen brightness to its lowest setting and allow the phone to go to sleep. After the timer has ended, you can continue using the app without your phone entering its sleep mode by pressing the reset button or performing any gesture (tapping, sliding, panning on the screen).

Use this app to turn your phone into a nightlight (note that it will work while in airplane mode) or to look up words using your phones dictionaries (i.e., those dictionaries otherwise only accessible by typing a word in a text field, highlighting it, and then pressing define) or both.

The phones screen will neither automatically dim from your current brightness setting nor automatically turn off while to app is being used, so you dont have to keep turning your phone back on (and entering your password or biometric) just to look up words or see the pages of your book.

You can also quickly set a sleep timer that will allow your phones auto-sleep settings to resume after the time is up (thereby putting your phone to sleep unless you have deactivated the inactivity auto-sleep setting). The timer will also decrease your brightness to the lowest possible setting when it ends. After the timer has ended, you can continue using the app without your phone entering its sleep mode by pressing the reset button or performing any gesture (tapping, sliding, panning on the screen).
