iBookshelf is your personal portable library reference. A comprehensive book database, created and continuously maintained through extensive feedback from readers like you.

Books are displayed ordered by title, author, genre, and status. You can search for books in your library, and enter a "loan status" to remember who you loaned the book to or borrowed it from. A new book can be entered automatically (enter ISBN and remaining data is loaded from the internet) or manually. If you load the data from the internet, the book cover image is loaded as well. It will even tell you where you can buy the book and how much it costs!

This free version only allows you to add up to twenty (20) books into your library and does not support barcode scanning. Otherwise, it is fully capable and unlimited. Please send me an email with any suggestions you may have and thank you for your positive feedback!

Features:
- Enter the ISBN to retrieve book data from the internet
- Scan barcodes directly into the app using the built-in and ready-to-use Zbar or Red Laser scanners! Can also use Pic2Shop as a separate app! (Configurable, Live scanning in iOS4+ only, still image capture on pre-iOS 4 devices)
- Enter the title and/or author and tap load (next to the title field) to look up the ISBN and load remaining data from the internet

- Not sure what to read? While in cover view, shake iPod and a random book will be chosen for you.

- While editing an entry, tap on the cover image to search the internet for additional cover image options.
- Set the cover image using the iPod camera (if available)
- Optionally enable data pulled from ISBNDB.com (requires setup of free account) and Open Library in the iPod Settings app.
- Set default values and list font size in iPod settings app.

Not Recommended- Look Elsewhere! (1 star)
I have not been impressed with either this lite version or the paid one of this app... It continually crashes, often losing all data. It has poor search capabilities, inaccurate barcode scanning (on the paid version only since the developer is too greedy to offer that feature on his free version!), and overall poor performance and memory issues. Best interface of 4 apps tested but...... (2 stars)
Crashes, books added come, disappear, reappear, double, suddenly end up in the wrong category until you change page then back again and when trying to delete the books that randomly double on your shelves constantly the app freezes and needs to shut down and reloaded. I thought that this app would allow you to read and scan books but the creator is too noobish to do that. I suggest allowing the users to read books from this app. It crashes anytime I try to read it.
