A popular request we have been receiving is that you want to convert songs from the iPhone song library into a ringtone. This function is NOT technically possible as an application. However, you can use Apple iTunes to make a ringtone for any song purchased from iTunes.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
1 Record your ringtone
2 Select Download It and specify your email address
3 Go to your computer and check your email. You will receive an email with an m4r attachment
4 Save the m4r attachment to your computer
5 On your computer, open iTunes and select File > Add to Library. Select the m4r file that you saved in step #4
6 Synch your iPhone with iTunes and the ringtone will transfer to your iPhone. Note: You must make sure that iTunes is set up to sync ringtones
7 On your iPhone, select SETTINGS then select SOUND. Select ringtone and you will see your new m4r file as a new ringtone option.

NOTE:
When you download the ringtone to your e-mail it is not playable on the iPhone using the built in mail app. This is because the attached file is in ringtone format. Refer to the Usage Instructions above to load that ringtone onto your iPhone.

Also, if you don't see your ringtone e-mail in your Inbox check your junk mail folder.

You don't need special software to make ring tones! Just do this

- record a voice memo of the sound you want using the voice memo recorder already on your iPhone.
- give the memo a descriptive name
- email it to yourself with the share feature
- you will get a email with a .w4a file attached
- on your computer, save the file with a .w4r extension
- in iTunes, add the file to your ring tones and sync your iPho

I downloaded the update and the thing still does not work. (1 star)
I hit record and it acts like it's recording, but after 30 seconds the screen flashes between play and record and little things pop up, none of the buttons work, and then it crashes.

Great app for creating your own ringtones. (5 stars)
Great app for creating several different ringtones that you can use for different people. You can select any part of a song or anything you want and it goes to Ringtones in iTunes when you move it from your desktop. The sound is not completely clear but its easy and free and I usually get tired of ringtones anyway so it's nice not to have to pay for one. Thanks
