How does it work?

Her Story sits you in front of a mothballed desktop computer and logs you into a police database. Search through hundreds of video clips that cover seven interviews from 1994 in which a British woman is interviewed about her missing husband. Explore the database by typing search terms, watch the clips where she speaks those words and piece together her story.

Unlike anything you've played before, Her Story is an involving and moving experience. One that asks you to listen.

Deep Take on Interactive Storytelling (5 stars)
There are no explicit challenges in Her Story, just endless questions, answers, questions that occur to you as your dig through the labyrinth of video clips. Your only agency comes from a search bar, and surprisingly it's enough to make your experience feel personal and meaningful. This is interactive story at its most restrained, and it's surprisingly effective.

Suspenseful, engaging and artful (5 stars)
You're hunched over a police computer and poring through old video interview tapes of a woman. A woman talking about the murder of a man named Simon. All you have to unravel this mystery is a search box.

I love the amount of restraint shown in this game. It makes you feel like a smart detective and it tells a very beautiful story that I wouldn't want to spoil for anyone.
