The Night Sky does this by using your location data provided by the GPS and compass built in to your device. This update brings some fantastic new features and enhancements:

★ Augmented Reality Mode - You can now tap a button and The Night Sky activates your camera and overlays the sky map over the top. This is great as The Night Sky will overlay the names of stars, planets, satellites and constellations over the actual objects themselves! True augmented reality comes to The Night Sky!

★ Start Up Improvements - The Night Sky is now even more stable when starting up. A blue progress loading bar appears and The Night Sky loads differently into your devices memory preventing the start up problem some users were experiencing.

★ Sky Information Pack Improvements - The Sky Information Pack has been improved with dark backgrounds and text to make it easier to read at night.

★ Hubble Space Telescope - The Hubble Space Telescope is now easier to see when enabling satellite mode as it is identified with a red symbol and text.

Great app (5 stars)
Nothing replaces the REAL night sky - so this app doesn't try to. It's great though for identifying planets, stars and constellations. So much fun to use and the view of the sky with all the satellites is pretty cool too. Worth every penny.
