Description

GFolio is a handy little app to log in to your Google Finance portfolios, giving you the most recent information on your portfolio performance in a very quick, simple view.

The app shows overall gain in dollars, overall gain as a percentage, and the day's gain in currency, as well as the market value and cost basis.

If you are having problems, or just comments or suggestions, please use the built-in e-mail support option! (Tap the (i) on the main screen, then tap "E-mail support")

Some advantages of GFolio over top competitors:
Add / remove portfolios
Add transactions and positions
Off-line caching - View your portfolios on the go, even if you don't have an Internet connection
Google Login - your username/password is never stored directly on your device, greatly reducing the risk of being stolen.
Portfolio and Position Quick View - informs you immediately about a certain performance aspect of your portfolio or position, without having to tap it.

Note: GFolio displays all price values in the "Default Currency" that is set per-profile on the Google Finance website. If your portfolio contains securities denominated in multiple currencies, they will be converted to the "Default Currency" based on current currency exchange information.

Disclaimer: This app uses detailed stock information unrelated to your profile (52-week prices, etc) from Yahoo! Finance, not Google Finance, due to licensing restrictions. Consequently, these figures are delayed by at least 15 minutes.

What's New in Version 2.5.1

Version 2.5.1:
• Fixes a crash that sometimes occurs when logging in for the first time

Version 2.5:

• Native iPad support (finally!)
• Auto-reload data (set the interval in Settings - defaults to 1.0 minutes)
• Performance enhancements, especially with portfolios containing many positions.
• When adding a new portfolio fails, an error message is now displayed (instead of leaving you clueless)

Customer Reviews

Nice app but there is a bug in adding transactions and positions in this version (5 stars)
Hi,
I like your app.

The iPhone free version works great on my iPad. However when I use the paid version on my iPad there is an issue I wish was fixed. I can create a portfolio, but I cannot add any positions or transactions to it.

Also I cannot add transactions to any closed positions. Using the free version doesn't have these issues.

I hope you fix these issues in the paid version in the next update

simple, speedy, works as advertised (5 stars)
This app provides a clean and simple interface to your google finance portfolio.
It works as advertised.
Startup is very fast. Navigation is quick and usable.
Thoughtful choices for user customization.
There is room for minor improvements to what info is displayed, but it is already very good.
No useless cute graphics, social networking trash, or other distractions. Thank you!
So many apps out there are bait-and-sw

The iPhone app is a lot better to view each position (2 stars)
Not sure why you created a different version for the iPad that is less useful than the iPhone version. I'd prefer the iPhone version on my iPad, even if the resolution is poorer. And the stability is inconsistent, occasionally locked out for days, loading and reloading. Despite the problems, still a very useful Ap.
