Disappointed (2 stars)
I eagerly awaited the Platinum 12C, but the resolution of the keys is not as sharp as it should be. In particular, the red type for the alternate keys is fuzzy. For $20, the display is quite a letdown. HP's "Platinum" appears to be a knock-off by a third party vendor. I can't speak for the regular 12C, but this version did not live up to my expectations. Perhaps an update will fix it. Until then, I'd look at the less expensive alte

There are much more comprehensive rpn calculators at better prices out there and this one is clunky and relies on nostaglia rather than features to sell. Definitely feel I wasted my 20 bucks on this one and will keep using pcalc for ease and features.

Excellent Financial Calculator!!! (5 stars)
I have been using the original 12c calculator for about 20 years. Unfortunately, when I need to use it at home, often I realize I left it at work. For me, this 12c Platinum app is great! I will have a 12c with me all the time. I use RPN 99% of the time, but I like having the Algebraic mode with the parentheses keys as an option.Due to the iPhone screen size, the face of the app is smaller than the physical calculator (about 1.4" less
