Light theme. Deep strategy. (5 stars)
The theme of the game is deceptive. Wars are now fought in a simulator to avoid loss of life, and the characters have a funny, light-hearted banter between missions.

Underneath this is one of the best turn-based games on in recent memory. The diverse, but simple to understand unit types are the foundation of a game that is heavily inspired by Advance Wars, a classic TBS that is a franchise staple on Nintendo's handhelds.

LOVE IT! Deep, but approachable turn-based strategy (5 stars)
So, you like Advance Wars huh? Yeah, you're going to LOVE this game, stop reading and just buy it. Now.

Still here? Like strategy games in the slightest? Yeah, you'll love this game too. The gameplay would be great with colored squares, but instead you get beautiful graphics and hysterical dialog.

Just like Advance Wars! (5 stars)
Amazing game. About 5 missions in and the nostalgia is hitting hard, and in the good kind of way. The "chat" between characters is 300% better than Advance Wars.

There's some differences between the games, such as modified unit functions and price, but the core turn-based strategy is the same. As far as I can tell in the campaign there are no CO bonuses or abilities, so it's all equal footing
