Recipes from the award-winning food site Epicurious.com are now available on your iPhone and your iPad. Search more than 30,000 delicious, professionally created recipes from Bon Appetit, Gourmet, Self, and renowned chefs and cookbooks. Save your favorite recipes, and sync your Favorites list in the app with your online Recipe Box at Epicurious.com. You can also create shopping lists, and e-mail recipes and shopping lists to yourself and friends. Plus, get access to authoritative recipe reviews from Epicurious members.

You can use the Epicurious Recipes and Shopping List app on either the iPhone or the iPad. Whether you launch the app from an iPhone or iPad, you get the same robust feature set, customized for the device you're currently using.

One App, Two Devices, Loads of Features:

BROWSE our most popular featured recipe collections, from Weeknight Dinners to Cool Cocktails. Your device will be automatically updated with all our latest recipes.

SEARCH food or drink recipes by keyword, or swipe through icons on the Search screen to filter by what's in your fridge, what's healthy, what's in season, what holidays are coming up, and more.

SAVE recipes to your personal Favorites list.

SHOP on the go by saving recipes to your Shopping List. At the store, check off items as you shop.

NEW! SHARE recipes and shopping lists with friends via e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, and more.

COOK with help from your iPad or iPhone: Both apps offer cooking-friendly views that make it easy to follow a recipe step by step.

NEW! RECIPE BOX SYNC
Now you can save all your favorite recipes in one convenient Recipe Box and access it online or on your device. This feature, offered for a small one-time fee, allows you to automatically sync your Favorites list in the app with your personal online Recipe Box on Epicurious.com.

Once you've purchased Recipe Box Sync on your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad, you'll be asked to enter your Epicurious.com account information (if you don't already have an Epicurious.com account, you'll be asked to create one--registration is fast and free). The app will then automatically sync the recipes in your Favorites list with those in your Epicurious.com Recipe Box.

If you have both an iPhone and an iPad, please note that you do NOT have to purchase Recipe Box Sync twice! When you first use the app on a second device, just tap the "Restore Purchases" button on the app's About screen, and your favorite recipes will sync to both of your devices. No matter what, you won't be charged twice.

Important: Epicurious.com members, please note that Recipe Box Sync is not compatible with member-uploaded recipes at this time (but we're working on it...). For now, only recipes from the Epicurious database can be synced to your online and mobile Recipe Box.

If you need additional information about Recipe Box Sync, visit Epicurious Recipes & Shopping List Support.

The iPad version of this universal Epicurious app has some special additional features:

FULL-SCREEN COOKBOOK VIEW displays ingredients, photos, and prep steps all in one screen: You can even bookmark preparation steps as you cook.

NUTRITION INFORMATION for thousands of recipes in our database.

Happy eating!

Customer Reviews

Where'd my favorites go?? (2 stars)
i upgraded my app and switched phones and now all my favorites are gone.

I wouldn't mind paying $1.99 for an ad-free with retina graphics that also syncs with my recipe box on the website, but it's stupid to pay for one feature like that.

C'mon guys, i'm sure you can do better!

ENOUGH with the full screen ads! (2 stars)
While I haven't had many problems in the past and typically love epicurious, this current update places the ads front and center. Full page ads pop up out if nowhere while trying to navigate through recipes. This is both time consuming to click out of and irritating. C'mon epicurious, make an ad free version so those of us that HATE being advertised to can choose that version. Otherwise, please make the small banner ads the only ones you use

App won't load (1 star)
Updated my Epi app and now it won't load at all. Tap on the icon and it's gone. Don't update yours until this bug is fixed! I love the Epi app so I'm bummed!
