CityTransit – Official NYC Subway Maps by Magnetism Studios

CityTransit - Official NYC Subway Maps Screenshots

Description

CityTransit is a complete guide to the New York City Subway system. It's the only NYC subway guide that includes the official new 2010 MTA licensed subway maps, line data, a GPS-based station finder and live service advisories.

The locator tool uses GPS to help you find the nearest subway station and integrates with the Maps application so you can quickly get to the nearest subway station. Plus, built-in service advisories download data from the MTA's website so you can plan your weekend trips.

CityTransit is the only subway guide that includes the official MTA subway map, the Manhattan Bus map, and a LIRR and Metro North map.

Just tap the maps button twice to see all the different maps available (including a fun Antique subway map)

Customer Reviews

This app males me late, ALL THE TIME. (2 stars)
The map is fine. The service advisories are completely wrong, even after the "fix". I'm standing outside of the Hewes St J,M stop - the entire station is shut down. This app told me it's fine. Same with the L train on numerous occasions. I'll check the MTA website, and the info will be posted.

Service advisories not accurate (2 stars)
So it's not useful, except for the subway map which is probably free elsewhere.

OK but train map inferior (3 stars)
The quality of your Metro North map on the iPad app is blurry and unacceptable. I paid for this app and expect decent quality as I have poor vision. Even without that, their subway map is pristine so I know it's possible and that they can do it for the train map. If you get this, and I recommend it, still go to the MTA website and complain loudly.
