Customer ReviewsIrritating GPS That Won't Shut Off. Prime Example of Background Apps Gone Bad! (2 stars)This is a perfectly fine GPS with a nice interface, good directions, the problem is you can't shut the darn thing off!! I listen to Audio Books and Podcasts, so I want to hear every word spoken, I find the fact that the GPS dims the audio to give a direction is really irritating. I tried to turn it off there's NO setting that lets you set the volume or control this feature, what's worse is once you set the Directions the d#### thing will NOT Good App. (4 stars) I have been using this application for quiet some time now and found it very helpful. TTS is good, can be better, for instance it would be better if it could tell you to be on the right or left side in case there are multiple exits on the same road you are on at that moment. There were cases where after a merge on the freeway, there were multiple exits to different interstates/highways so it would be helpful if it could indicate you to eith Not bad, but I wouldn't pay for it. (2 stars) As for being a free nearly fully-functional GPS program that works without a data connection, this can't be beat. Now for the problems: - horrid turn-by turn navigation prompts. For example, on some interstates where you need to merge with another road, it constantly tells you to exit when you shouldn't be doing anything other than going straight.
