Friend Radar allows you to share your location with friends quickly and easily, with any iOS device with an Internet connection.

Many location-based apps require you to provide your email address, sign up for an account, or provide the email addresses of your friends and contacts. Friend Radar makes the process easy. Just pick a name and an icon for yourself, type in a group code or pick "Random" and go! You can email or text invitations to your group, and optionally password-protect your group to keep uninvited guests out.

Features:

Sweeping radar screen that shows your friends' distance and location, and rotates with you (devices with compass only)
Arrow view that points the way to a friend
Map view with all of your friends (upgrade to Full Version through In-App Purchase!)
Background updates on iOS 4.x with supported devices (but it works just fine on iOS 3 and non-multitasking devices too!)
Power saving options

Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Meeting up later at an amusement park - She's in line for that roller coaster
Getting dinner ready - He's stuck in traffic on the way home
Picking the kids up - They're waiting for you by the library
Long distance hide and seek - Go to a big park and find your friends using only the Arrow view
Feeling a little bit closer - See what friends are up to across town or across the world!

What you need:

An iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad running iOS 3.1.3 or later
An Internet connection (Wi-fi or cellular)
Location services enabled (for devices without the GPS feature, anywhere that the Maps application can determine your location, you're good!)

IMPORTANT NOTE: On The Move update mode does not work well with iOS 4.1. If your device is still using this version of iOS, please update if you want to use On The Move!

Free version has almost all of the features of the full version, and updates your location with your group every two minutes. Upgrade to the Full Version using the "View Upgrade" button to add the Map View, location updates every five seconds when the app is active, additional background update options and more!

☞ On The Move: Save even more by only updating when you are driving and you have moved a long distance (iPhone 4 and 3GS, and iPad 3G models only). You can leave Friend Radar running all day in this mode!

Does what it says (4 stars)
This app lets friends see each others locations, speed, etc. The paid upgrade is worth the faster updates and map view. No more "Where are you!?"
