Metropolitan Museum of Art - TellMeWare Screenshots

Description

Metropolitan Museum of Art-TellMeWare provides interactive floor plans for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
To address concerns in the reviews: *Download speeds: the app works offline. Once you have purchased and installed it, you're all set. We suggest downloading before you get to the museum as the connection speeds inside vary widely.
*What is in each area: tap the map and a pop-up indicates the exhibit.
*Where you are: you indicate this by tapping the pin in the list. The app is offline so it does not determine your location for you.

With TellMeWare you can:
* Tap the map to see what is located in that spot
* Tap and hold to add the sight to your trail
* Search a list of exhibits, stores, areas and see where they're located on the map
* Use the "i am here" feature to see where you are on the map
* See your route displayed on the map and get text directions

Customer Reviews

Don't waste your money (1 star)
This is barely worth one star. It doesn't show where you are. Cell connections (both AT&T on my 4S and Verizon on my iPad 3) and wireless are poor in the museum. This app seems worthless.

Not as good as I thought (2 stars)
I bought it when I started my tour in the Museum, it seemed like a good idea. Nevertheless, I had the following comments:

Download speed was very slow.
The app is for iPhone/iPod, not for iPad. I wanted to use my iPad.
When I finally wanted to use it, I never worked as advertised.

After that, I graved a traditional "paper" map at the next kiosk (free), and that worked fine for guiding me through the Mus

Hard to Use (1 star)
A worthless app. Don't know what is in each area of the museum so very little help going from one to the other. Would be helped with photos of important works of art, and then you could visit them. Another problem, you have to know which floor to be on when it calculates your path
