You got it NY, a subway app thats free and doesn't suck.

You get the real! map, all the lines, updates (gotta have internet for that one though), a map with location, subway stations and pretty colors. Yup, all that for free.

I work in NYC but am from Dallas Texas, I work on the tugboats in the harbor, sometimes we use manhattan as a stepping stone for our crew changes which almost always use the MTA. This app is awesome so I know where to go, where to get off and and what method. Paired up with googles directions this is a sweet app. And it prevents me from having to carry that giant map they give you and unfolding it in a crowded sardine can :) .

The maps are clear and easy to scroll and enlarge without losing detail. The lite versions extremely useful.
