The TomTom Navigation app requires a GPS signal. 3G-enabled iPads, iPhone 3G and later models have an internal GPS receiver. Users of non-3G iPads and iPod touch 2nd gen and later models will require an external GPS receiver. The original iPhone and iPod touch are not supported.
(1)Compatible with iPhone 3G/3GS/4/4S, iPad WiFi + 3G models. If youd prefer to use your existing subscription on your iPad, restore your purchases within the TomTom App on your iPad. The App will prompt you to transfer your subscription between your iPhone and iPad.

(3)Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Ugly Icon notwithstanding (5 stars)
It is incredible that whenever TomTom updates all previous data is gone. TomTom does exactly what I ask it to do every time. But I have to repopulate it every time and that's annoying.

Traumatic Updates. (2 stars)
Man! I love the app, but every time I update it, it's like starting over. I have to go through and re-enter all of my favorites. I've lost so many addresses this way. Grrrr!!!! I can't contact anyone there either. Sooo disappointing.

Huge FAIL! (1 star)
I paid good money for this app and I'm very disappointed and extremely unhappy with the latest update. The icon is bad enough--I agree it looks like a cheap free icon, not one for a paid app.

But whats with all this Social crap? It should be opt in and not a requirement to navigate to my contacts. I don't want to share my location with anyone unless I decide to and make the effort for that trip and specify who I share the info with
