If you choose not to do both of these actions, the WIRED icon will remain on your device and the app will remain accessible through it. In addition, to take advantage of having the latest issue automatically downloaded on to your device, go into your Settings on your iPad, select Store and turn on the automatic download switch for the WIRED app.

SUBSCRIBERS AUTOMATIC-RENEWAL FEATURE: Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Retina... Really? (1 star)
Wired, a tech magazine still puts out a horrible app that was designed like websites circa 1998? You're still using static images? If you designed your app properly file sizes would be smaller, text would be clearer and the app would be far more useful.

Great magazine, terrible app (1 star)
I really like wired magazine but the app is awful. It seems like every page is rendered as an image so the text is just pixelated and really difficult to read. This wasn't so bad on the iPad 2 but on the retina display it is unreadable.

The latest update didn't improve this problem.

Good to see the retina display is already supported. But the same problems still remain; the magazines are still half a gigabyte each, no auto downloading through newsstand, no background downloading in the app, no Facebook sharing and no twitter sharing.
