Great but... (2 stars)
Great app with great features but why does it need to compress a clip before you can drop it on the timeline when can then not even play it on the timeline until you render. Also it takes 3-4 minutes to render a 30 second clip. The exported clip also has compression artifacts. Until these are fixed I'd rather use iMovie with it's limitations.

Tortuous render time (3 stars)
The app is full of features but I just put together a movie which was composed of 2 video clips and 7 stills and the app took 22 minutes to render a movie that lasted 1:09. That is ridiculous considering I'm using an iPhone 4.

The render time is also unacceptable because you can't preview your movie with applied effects until it is rendered. After seeing the rendered version of my movie I noticed a problem with the pan/zoom I ap

Better than iMovie! (5 stars)
Now with HD & access to iPod, iMovie is a waste and pointless. So many more editing options with Reel Director, different fonts, text fades out... The only feature request now is option to upload to other sites (Vimeo, Facebook, Posterous) and background uploading. Rendering is still slow, but so is iMovie.
