• Improves iCloud conflict resolver — Byword now displays the name of the device where the conflict versions were generated.

ICloud support is worse than half-baked (1 star)
I desperately want something that works ***well*** with iCloud.

This ain't it! After a few days of use, now my files all look like Chinese gibberish...like when you dump a binary file to the console on Windows.

IaWriter isn't any better.

I can put up with the frequent crashes, but now all my work is trashed and I can't even try to make a new document!

I wasted my money on the Mac and iPad versions. N

A good start (4 stars)
I have been using byword for Mac for months, and it is been steadily adding features that I wanted. I assume that byword for iPhone will follow the same pattern. It has a lot of good features, but not everything that I want, not yet.

-Byword for iPhone currently only supports plaintext and markdown. Markdown requires the file extension .mdown or .txt. There is no RTF support.

Beautiful, but laggy (4 stars)
A lot of my life is in plain text. On my Mac desktop, I interact with notes through Notational Velocity; on the iPad, I've been using WriteRoom. But I'm always on the lookout for something better!

Byword like its competitor allows folders and dropbox synch. Its interface is more elegant, and a pleasure to use. The problem, though: the synch that starts every time I open the file list takes about ten seconds for a list of about
