Description

People are using Simplenote to keep notes, lists, ideas and more. Your notes automatically synchronize with your computer and all your devices. It's extremely easy to use. For those who want more power, you can also use tags, pins, versions, and sharing.

The best way to learn about Simplenote is to try it. After you download it, you'll be asked to create an account. This allows your notes to synchronize with your computer.

After you sign up, try creating some notes! Then use your computer to sign in at simplenoteapp.com. All your notes appear there, too. Changes you make will synchronize back and forth automatically.

You can also use Simplenote with other devices. Check out our Downloads page for a complete list of products that work with Simplenote.

The free version of Simplenote slides a small, high quality ad to the top of your note list. If you like Simplenote, but you don't like ads, you can subscribe to Simplenote Premium. Going Premium also gives you some extra goodies.

Thanks for trying Simplenote. Send us an email if you have any suggestions for improvement:

Customer Reviews

Much better than Notes (4 stars)
I was disappointed with Apple's Notes, so I switched to Simplenote. It's a major improvement. I will never use Notes again.

Simplenote doesn't sync to your computer. It backs up your notes (wirelessly) to the Simplenote website. The app prompts you to set a username and password -- this takes seconds. Once you do that, you can retrieve your note files from the web. You can also edit your notes in the browser, and your changes will s

Text was overwritten (2 stars)
Been a user for a while of web and iPhone versions, just installed on iPad and my first new note got overwritten mid edit. May have been a fluke, but I simply wont trust the app till the next update.

Good list & notes app when it doesn't lose your data (3 stars)
Easy to use, and it syncs with the desktop version, which is helpful since it is so much easier to type on a computer than on a mobile device. However, the app will occasionally decide to freeze up & decide not to save your data. So it is best to type notes in a different application, copy & paste, then make sure Simplenote didn't glitch out & cost you everything you wrote.

In addition, every once in a while Simplenote
