The only way you can use this app is if you have uploaded your family tree to Ancestry.com where Ancestry claims your file as their own.

The Ancestry App works great with my iPad and my iPhone, whether adding new relatives, life events or information. It would be very helpful if the Ancestry App had the capability to allow us to add people by choosing those who are already in our tree, as does Ancestry.com. Don't agree with having to pay extra for every document. Will stick to doing those online from now on, since we already pay for that anyway.
