Some tickets purchased through this application can be delivered via email as eTickets and scanned onboard the train by the conductor. eTicketing is currently only available for trips on the following routes:
Downeaster (Portland, ME - Boston)
City of New Orleans (Chicago - New Orleans)
Capitol Corridor (Sacramento - San Jose)
San Joaquin (Oakland - Bakersfield)
Heartland Flyer (Oklahoma City - Fort Worth)

Amtrak Credit Card users beware! (3 stars)
If you use app to buy tickets, you will NOT get bonus points from Chase!! Since the vendor name is "Mobile App" instead of the former "Amtrak Internet", Chase doesn't recognize these as Amtrak Purchases. The passport stamps are cute but not worth losing all the Double Points you'd get from buying tickets on line. Too bad!

This app makes interacting with Amtrak a pleasure. This is something I did not tho k was possible!

Not bad, but needs more features (3 stars)
Echoing others like being able to see my trips in such a clean format, find searching easier than the website...

Amtrak *really* needs to add my ticketing barcode to my itinerary on the app! This feature seems so basic. Would also love an auto-upload to TripIt.
