TO USE JIBBIGO:

New version is much improved (5 stars)
The speech recognition in this version is noticeably better. That was the biggest issue with the previous version IMO, and now it's pretty good. The translation is also better. It's not always the optimal translation but it's rare that it's completely wrong. It should be practical to use this now in France.

This is a wonderful app!! Great for travel or just when you want to brush up on your foreign language skills. A taxi driver in Paris overheard me using the app in his taxi to give my friends the translation of a phrase and he was so impressed that he showed me his iPhone and asked what the app was because he wanted to download it for his upcoming trip to the US.

I can't believe it but it works just like that commercial we all saw from Apple advertising the app.

It has great sound recognition to recognize what you say, and at the same time should it have trouble hearing you you can always type in in. This happened to me once trying to get the word pineapple translated.

There is a dictionary attached with it too and best of all it works offline - no Internet needed!
