When you're working in the heat, safety comes first. With the OSHA Heat Safety Tool, you have vital safety information available whenever and wherever you need it right on your mobile phone.

The App allows workers and supervisors to calculate the heat index for their worksite, and, based on the heat index, displays a risk level to outdoor workers. Then, with a simple tap, you can get reminders about the protective measures that should be taken at that risk level to protect workers from heat-related illnessreminders about drinking enough fluids, scheduling rest breaks, planning for and knowing what to do in an emergency, adjusting work operations, gradually building up the workload for new workers, training on heat illness signs and symptoms, and monitoring each other for signs and symptoms of heat-related illness.
Stay informed and safe in the heat, check your risk level.

Customer Reviews

Amazed at the incompetence. (1 star)
It amazes me that over $200,000 of taxpayer money was used to create something of complete worthlessness such as this.

There are two big problems with it.

1: Need.
Is this app even needed? Do we really as competent adults need OSHA to babysit us at every step of the workday even to the point of telling us whether it's too hot to work or not? Pathetic.

2: Application quality.
I can get a whole lot more

My first app review (1 star)
This is no doubt the worst app I've ever come across in the app store. It's a heat index calculator (which it doesn't explain) and maybe would qualify as a middle school programming assignment. You basically type in a temperature (needs to be above 80F) and it tells you if it is hot outside (spoiler alert: it is). Seriously?

Also, it cost $200k to write this app. That makes it so much worse.

Doesn't work (1 star)
I couldn't get the precautions button to work, nor anything under more info. If I tap on the buttons, they just turn blue for a split second and do nothing.

Did it seriously take $200,000 to develop this app? I could do this in HTML and JavaScript for free.
